How MediPal® can help in an Emergency?
The reader does not have to use a computer or call centre to find out the important medical details required when the patient needs urgent medcal help.
All details are printed on both sides of the card. We can customize the available space to print any instruction or data the patient may require, like their NHS number, or what do or not to do in an Emergency situation.

Who should carry a MediPal® card?

In an Ambulance a paramedic can quickly and accurately determine the patient’s medical history and the medication the patient may be taking, by reading what is printed on the MediPal® card. By the time the patient has arrived at hospital a paramedic, will have been able to stabilize the patient and be ready to pass on the details from the card to hospital staff on arriving at hospital. This will undoubtedly help the doctors and nurses when treating the patient, giving the patient the best chance of quick diagnoses and recovery. The family can be contacted and called to the hospital if required. MediPal® also displays the patients family and doctors details.

MediPal® helps the pharmacist when prescription details need to be cross checked, but many people have found themselves away from home, here and abroad, running out of medication, but when they have been able to show the pharmacist what they take by showing them the MediPal® card, is a great memory aid for the elderly, when having to recall their medications.

Dentists
MediPal® helps the dentist, because so may people who need treatment have allergies and may be allergic to penicillin or have adverse reactions to certain anesthetics.
