About the Founder
My name is Chris Pinkerton, and MediPAL was created from personal experience rather than a business idea.
Many years ago, at the age of 38, I suffered a stroke and underwent major brain surgery, leaving me with a ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt. A few years later, I suffered a heart attack and underwent triple bypass surgery.
Like many people living with long-term medical conditions, I realised how important it is for emergency services and healthcare professionals to have immediate access to accurate medical information when every second counts.
That experience inspired me to create MediPAL.
MediPAL Emergency Cards are designed to provide essential medical information in a simple, clear format that can be carried in a wallet or purse every day. The cards can include important details such as medical conditions, allergies, medications, emergency contacts and other information that could assist first responders or hospital staff during an emergency.
As someone who carries medical information myself, I understand the reassurance that comes from knowing those details are always close at hand.
My aim has never been to produce just another plastic card. I wanted to create something practical, affordable and easy to understand—something that could provide confidence for the person carrying it and peace of mind for their family.
Every MediPAL card is prepared with care and attention because I know how important the information it contains can be.
